When OFSTED calls, you want to be ready and able to show all that is wonderful about your school. To this do you need to be confident about the quality of your practice, know what you do well and how you will tackle areas for development?

What better way to prepare than with an external audit?

Remember that Safeguarding is a non-negotiable for OFSTED. However good everything else is, you can still end up in Special Measures, if your Safeguarding is not up to scratch!.

SEA Inclusion and Safeguarding offer both SEND and Safeguarding Audits and then support you with any areas of development.

how it works

An Audit will include

  • A telephone consultation to identify school needs
  • Review of policies and other key paperwork before the school visit
  • A School visit, including
    • Time with key staff.
    • Record keeping checks
    • Single Central Records check
    • Support to prepare case studies
    • Support to evidence multi-professional work
    • Staff and leaders question and answer sessions
  • Opportunities to record pupil or parent voice, if you want.
  • Follow up report and note of visit

This will take between 4-6 hours in school.Further visits can be booked to support work with areas for development.

SEA Inclusion and Safeguarding offer both SEND and Safeguarding Audits and then support you with any areas of development.

what you get

After working with SEA Inclusion and Safeguarding, you will have the reassurance that you are OFTSTED ready and have the evidence to hand to show the inspectors.

Don’t forget your Governors!

  • Do they know and understand their role for safeguarding and SEND?
  • Do they use the correct terminology? Are they still talking about Statements?
  • Want a quick way to get them up to speed?

Add a Governors’ training session to share the learning from your audit.
