Designated Safeguarding Leaders
New to Role Course 30th April 2019
Would you like to train within a supportive group, ask questions and further your training? I am a Safeguarding expert and a genuinely engaged teacher.
As a multi-agency TRAINER for the Surrey Safeguarding Children Board and accredited Safer Recruitment Trainer, I invite you to join me in this small group training. You will have the chance to ask everything you ever wanted know about being a DSL!
This is a brief outline of what we will cover:
- A guide to the guidance
- What does OFSTED expect?
- The role of the Local Safeguarding Board
- What are your responsibilities?
- Record keeping and procedures
- Making referral and attending child protection meetings
- The key issues of the moment- Online Safety, FGM, Child Sexual Exploitation, PREVENT and Children missing from Education.
You will leave with a wealth of knowledge and a back-up of resources. I will show you where I look for answers and will share my personal go-to websites. And of course, if you ever have any questions, you can contact me via email after the course.
